Newborns & Heirlooms

Megan was one of my very first friends here. I stumbled upon the dreamiest flower shop a couple blocks from my house and her sweet face was there on my first day. She took on a sisterly role for me. Her wisdom was there even in my most confusing moments. So when she welcomed another little love into the world, I was ecstatic to do my part. I spent a little over an hour with these four and I left with the biggest smile on my face.

Loved getting to hang out with this family back in April. Kara and I had so much email correspondence throughout the planning process that when it was time to shoot, I felt as if I was just catching up with some old friends. McLeod is actually from my hometown. I guess it really is a small world after all!

Among all of my posts thus far, this one is the closest to my heart. I don't think I have ever been so thankful for my love for photography. My brother and his wife ( I usually just call her my sister but I figured if I wrote "my brother and my sister recently had a baby" that might be little weird) just had a baby and I was able to use what I have learned over the past few years to document her sweet first days on this crazy Earth. I can now say I have mastered photography through tears. Maybe I'll write up a how to. ;)

Anyways! Meet Stella Grey. She is just perfect, if I may say so myself.
